Release Party Recap

The dust is gradually beginning to settle after the first bottle release at the Prairie Production Brewery. In case you missed the news, we released Pirate Paradise bottles! Fans came from near and very far away for a chance to get their own Pirate Paradise, our coconut and vanilla spiced imperial stout aged in rum barrels. We also welcomed the thirsty crowd with music, snacks, and other beer on draft. The Captain Ledge Band, from close to home Wilburton, Oklahoma, entertained the crowd with their wide range of musical stylings, and Pete’s Place supplied some delicious sausage sandwiches. Lovera’s Grocery, from just down the street, and Crave Nuts, out of Oklahoma City, sampled tasty treats while Spaceship Earth Coffee kept the crowd caffeinated during the anticipated wait. We had brews that were expected, as well as a few new and exciting experiments. We poured two never before tasted beers, Cinnamon Pecan Bomb!, a cinnamon spice imperial stout aged on pecans, and Mango Weisse, our berliner weisse sour with mango. Don’t worry if you didn’t get a chance to try them, you’ll see more of them and other twists on favorites in the future. Thank you to everyone who made the trip out! We enjoyed seeing familiar faces and meeting the new.

Next week we’ll be traveling to Denver, Colorado to participate in a few tasting events. We will be pouring Cinnamon Pecan Bomb! and Pirate Paradise at What the Funk on October 4th. If you’ll be in the area, come say hello! It’s a great chance to try the beers out if you missed our release shindig. Later that week we will be pouring our never before seen Sherry Noir at the Rare Beer Tasting on October 7th. Make sure you stop by if you’re in the area, and see what the buzz is all about yourself! We look forward to seeing everyone!

  1. My husband and I were planning on coming out from Lexington, KY for the release. Unfortunately things went down that prevented that. We were sad. Then, this past weekend at the Shelton Brothers Festival in Louisville we were finally able to try to Pirate Paradise and I was even sadder! This is one of the best beers I have EVER tasted and I’ve had quite a few! We always have at least one offering from you guys at our garage party tastings (they are legendary around here). So we are big fans! I just wanted to tell you that your guys never disappoint and each time I got back in line for Pirate Paradise I was thinking about how I was going to send you a message and tell you that. So there, I did. Thanks for the consistent quality!
